WEY award
Club for Women Entrepreneurs Geneva nominates once a year, on the anniversary of its foundation, the "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year" . This prize has no money value but is accompanied by media coverage. In this way, CWE designates a model of feminine entrepreneurship not only to motivate those that might be shy to start, but also to shed some light on a woman and a company with extraordinary performances whose work is often ignored.
Furthermore, a money prize amounting to CHF 500.00 is granted a woman or a project in a developing country or an emerging economy which accomplishes most to enhance the skills of women entrepreneurs.

The Committee for the selection of candidates for the prize Woman Entrepreneur of the Year is always grateful for suggestions of names of women entrepreneurs in Switzerland who can attest to solid successes in the creation of their company. Criteria for the nomination Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Candidates must prove the following qualities : 1. Be the owner of her enterprise, and/or act as a woman entrepreneur; 2. Innovation - in products/services as well as in methodology; 3. Courage - with respect to the entrepreneurial challenges; 4. Endurance - the entrepreneur persevered in her undertaking; 5. Readiness to assume risk in order to materialize her vision; 6. Professionalism in all she does; 7. Acts as a socially responsible corporation; 8. Foresight - able to grasp present and future opportunities; 9. Discernment, products/services are inspired by the quality principle; 10. Favourable economic impact on her region; 11. Deontology - morality guides her steps; the corporate mission coincides with that of CWE; 12. Hard work has made her project come to life; 13. Charismatic personality.
